Easter Musical by Calvary Church - The Great Exchange

So my mid-semester break was around the corner and well you know,
I don't make plans (don't need to hahahahaha),
I will just go wherever my friends invited me to.
So my classmate aka my lab partner aka one of my close friends from School of Science,
Jonathan (my right)
had invited me and Johann (my left) to a musical presented by his church.

Well, I'm not a Christian but both of them are,
and this was definitely my first time attending to church's event
and OMG it's held in a convention centre...
I seriously felt that I was underdressed that day,
feel truly sorry to the organiser and the performers if it made you feel disrespected..
I didn't mean to :(
but also thanks to the super sweet talker Mr. Johann (it's actually pronounced as 'Yohan')
for persuading me that I looked okay -.-
I didn't know you actually praise girls hmm ;)

Ok back to the main topic,
the musical.
It was... AWESOME.
Yes it was!!
Jonathan mentioned that he participated in the setting of the stage
so I did put some of my attention on it.
And I was really amused.
I mean it was so professional that I couldn't believe that it's from a church.
It was just too awesome!!

Imagine how much effort and time they needed to prepare all these then you will know
how strong is their bonding and how serious they take this performance.
From the singer to the musical band to the dance
to the actors to the clothes, the stage setting & the lighting,
everything was so great!

I didn't take a lot of photos because it was actually prohibited-,-"
but I guess the organizer will upload them and you can check it out on google :)
And also sorry for the bad resolution, these are all from my snapchat haha.

I really like the 'mountain' they made for the stage design
but I was too into the performance so I don't have the photo of it.

Well, it was a great performance but it wasn't the reason why I'm writing this blog.
(Dafuq panda so you saying that you were off-topic after I read this long?! OPPS yes hahahaha)

I'm actually not very into religious stuff
as I feel that I don't need to believe in all these things that are formed based on imagination.
I can be strong enough to believe in myself and overcome struggles with my own way.
That's what I thought and I have to say I still somehow think the same way now.
But this musical changed my mind, not all but it did slightly affected me haha.

For all the things I did,
although I tried so hard telling myself that
it's okay everyone is doing the same thing this is actually nothing big
and sometimes I even give loose to everything
thinking that since I did it before there's no difference in doing it once or thrice or even more,
no matter how don't-give-a-fxxk I acted like I was and everyone believed that I was,
deep down in my heart I still wish that I could reset everything.
And I didn't even realize these until I came to this musical.

For years I have been crying over the same thing,
night after night, alone,
regretting the changes I made while being haunted by the memories,
and yet still can't reverse or even stop those changes made.
Once, I even believe that that's how it's supposed to be.
Did one wrong decision and regret in the next few years,
until my heart is numb and I won't feel the pain anymore.

I thought I will never get over it...
And I thought I will just keep on pretending that I dgaf.

Until I came to this musical
and someone told me that every sin I did can be forgiven and I can actually move on.
I almost cried.
I almost cried...
For years and it's like the first time someone telling me that I can be forgiven.
Funny right, it was just such a little thing, forgive,
and yet it takes 2 years for me to get to hear it.

Thanks to all the fxxkers for kept telling me that what I did was wrong,
you guys did make me cried for fxxking 2 years and make me thought that I was really a piece of shxt.
I wish I could have realized earlier of how much your words affected me
and I wish that everyone reading this will stop doing this to your loved ones
as it helps nothing but tearing their scars.

And also a sincere thank to Prince Guneratnam, the Senior Pastor of the Calvary Church,
for his short speech after the musical.
I knew that you were just saying something very normal for you,
something that you have been telling every lost person you've met,
but I'm still gonna thank you
for being the first person telling me that I can be forgiven.
The impact was really big on me.
Thanks again.
